Globe University Receives Workforce Development Pilot Program Grant

$100,000 from City of Sioux Falls to provide local businesses with a highly trained and qualified workforce

Globe University, a leader in post-secondary higher education, is proud to announce it has been awarded a $100,000 grant by the City of Sioux Falls. The City created the Workforce Development Pilot Program to provide funding to support activities, ideas and initiatives related to the city’s workforce challenges. Globe University proposed to use its grant to provide local businesses with a dual-training program tailored to attract and develop a highly qualified and productive workforce, and was selected to receive 20 percent of the funds the City has dedicated to this effort.

Globe University and Minnesota School of Business (Globe and MSB) has developed The J&B Group Cooperative Training program, which will provide J&B with the training and education necessary to retain and develop current and future J&B associates. Through a combination of academic and on-the-job learning, the J&B Cooperative Training program will develop exceptional associates who are committed and equipped with the necessary hands-on skills needed to help positively impact J&B business goals and objectives.
