Stars and Stripes over Eau Claire

The star-spangled banner began waving over Globe University-Eau Claire on Wednesday, July 25, 2012.  The flag made its debut to sounds of  a bagpipe, buglers, and a firing squad as the Honor Guard of the American Legion made a presentation of the colors.  Over 50 students and staff were on hand to salute “Old Glory”.  Members of the American Legion were treated to refreshing watermelon and punch after battling the heat during the ceremony. Other guests included Mike Hughes, Director of Military Students, Brian Hermann, Facilities Manager who installed the flag pole, Police representative, Kyle Roder,  and Shana Weiss, Wisconsin Regional and Campus Director.  A plaque of dedication was given by the  American Legion for the base of the flag pole.
