Alumni Spotlight: Globe Grad Gets Hired One Month Out of College

Alumnus Kristopher (Kris) Rangus was hired just one month after he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree in 2013 from Globe University-Woodbury. Kris is currently working as a management trainee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car where he focuses on retail sales, debt management, yield management, customer screening, risk management, and employee development.

The one piece of advice he gave for those looking to go back to school is to be extremely open to new ideas and career opportunities. “I never in a million years thought I’d be working in the car rental business, and I love it!”

Kris comments that he wanted to go into the business management field because he felt business was a well-rounded degree which would open the doors to a lot of future opportunities. Eventually Kris would like to become a branch manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and possibly go back to school at Globe for his accounting degree so he can work in finance.

“Two things that really helped secure my position at Enterprise was my previous long-term employment, which illustrated my commitment to a company, and my strong interview skills,” said Rangus.

Overall, Kris enjoyed his time at Globe. He liked meeting new people and getting to know the great staff and faculty throughout his education.

Due to his outstanding work ethic and dedication to his professional advancement, Kris was selected as the Alumnus of the Spring 2014 Quarter.

The objective of the business management program is to introduce students to the process of management, including planning, organizing, directing and controlling functions of a business.
