It isn’t every day that you can see and pet a real kangaroo. In fact, many people go their entire lives without doing so. But for those attending Globe University-Madison East’s 5th Annual Open House, this become a reality. Brandon the Kangaroo visited campus last week as part of the fun festivities surrounding Madison East’s annual open house. Brandon is one of two kangaroos at Emily’s Ten Oaks Ranch that are educational animals and regularly visit area schools. In addition to Brandon, Emily’s Ten Oaks Ranch also brought some ducklings along for attendees to interact with.
Along with the kangaroo and ducklings, this year’s open house featured an exotic pet fair, interactive educational tables, face painting, pony rides, a bounce house, balloon animals, kids’ games, live music, free food and more.
A new addition to this year’s annual open house was a special Alumni Tribute session. During this session, Madison East alumni gathered to network, reminisce and discuss how they can be more involved with both the university and the community. They also shared some words of wisdom for current students.
