Brianna Williamson, academic coordinator and financial aid administrator

A little about me:
I grew up on a farm in a small town in southwest Wisconsin where my graduating high school class consisted of only 60 students. After high school I attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology this past May. Graduating with my bachelor’s degree was an important milestone for my family as much as it was for me as I am a first-generation college student. Throughout college I worked for a program on campus that served first-generation freshmen students. My part-time position in college helped me realize my passion for working in higher education. Two months prior to my college graduation, I was hired here at Globe University-Appleton as the academic coordinator and am extremely happy to be able to continue serving students.

What do I do?
As the academic coordinator, I monitor attendance, schedule students for classes, plan events and a variety of other tasks. I’ve had a lot of fun this quarter planning events for students ranging from student appreciation day to a “build your own ice cream sandwich” bar. Recently, I took on an additional role: financial aid administrator. Taking on this new role has been challenging, but I love that I am able to assist students in another area.

What do I enjoy doing in my free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching sports of all levels (my brother in high school, college and professional), being outside, running, and reading, to name a few. My family owns a pontoon boat, and we enjoy taking it out on different lakes in the summer as often as we can.

I look forward to coming to work every day and assisting students in any way possible. If you ever have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me for help. If I don’t know the answer, I’ll be sure to help you find someone who does.
