A little about me…

I grew up on a small dairy farm in Wisconsin, and after graduating high school I began college at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. I majored in Human Services and minored in Psychology, Women Studies and Social Justice with an emphasis in Prejudice and Discrimination. After graduating college, I bought a one way ticket to Thailand. The first month, I spent my time becoming certified to teach English in a foreign language. I then accepted a position at an International School on the island of Koh Samui, teaching in the English as an Additional Language Department. Through my educational experiences I discovered I wanted a career in higher education. Higher education has improved my overall well-being and I want to help others do the same.

What do I do at Globe University?

I work with individuals through each step of the admissions process, ensuring they are informed about programs, financial aid opportunities they may qualify for and the various student services we offer. My goal is to help students find academic and career success.

What do I enjoy doing in my free time?

I have a passion for traveling and eating, a perfect combination! I make an effort to explore places I haven’t been before, always making a point to find the hot spot where locals love to eat. I get outdoors as much as possible by going for hikes, bike rides or snowshoeing as well as attending concerts and festivals throughout the year. Lastly, I love spending time with family and friends, reading and learning new things!

Some summer highlights include: Country USA, rode around Peninsula State Park on a tandem bike, hiked at Devils Lake, attended a Jake Owen concert, went to Mile of Music, and went to a Brett Eldredge concert.

My favorite song?

The Good Stuff by Kenny Chesney

My favorite classes in college?

Human Services, I really enjoyed working with people. We did a lot of role playing in class to improve our skills. I had the opportunity to hone my interpersonal skills and personal development in these classes to be a better citizen and employee.
