Globe University-Appleton held their first Emergency Services Day over the weekend. Despite an actual emergency chemical spill nearby that kept a few committed emergency vehicles from attending the event – students, staff and attendees enjoyed themselves on campus!
Almost $300 was raised for Old Glory Honor Flight – an organization dedicated to transporting our local WWII veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor. Monarch Gardens contributes some of their profits from food sales, and sales from ice cream was given to the organization… along with a $250 check from Globe University. The Community Benefit Tree, Inc. also raised funds for their organization. Guests got to play plinko and enter drawings for a chance at great prizes!
Thank you to everyone that attended! The students also had a great time showcasing their displays on what they’ve been learning throughout their courses here at Globe University.
