Globe University hosted several blood drives on the Appleton campus with the help of the Community Blood Center, Inc. throughout the year. Hosting blood drives with this organization allows our staff and students to learn civic responsibility while staying educated about the importance of blood donation in our community.
In all, up to 120 lives were saved with the help of 62 blood donors. Of the donors, about 40 pints of blood was collected.
Great job, students and staff! A special thanks goes out to the Medical Assisting program and Medical Assistant Chair, Kara Abbott, for coordinating the Blood Drives and recruiting donors. You have helped others while giving the greatest gift of all — the gift of life!
