Globe University-Sioux Falls recently hosted New Student Orientation for the Summer Quarter, a very exciting day on campus. Thirty-seven students attended orientation, the largest incoming class Globe University-Sioux Falls has had in three years. Students were introduced (or reintroduced, in some cases) to our staff and faculty members during the orientation.
Our Director of Admissions Charlie Buehler hosted Orientation and had a number of fun games and prizes to hand out to our incoming students.
After initial introductions and reminders of our attendance policy, students met with their Program Chairs and instructors in their programs for break-out sessions. Then came the real excitement of the evening- iPads! Students set up their iPads with help from Charlie and our Dean of Faculty Jay Meyers.
New student Chelsea Butler said she chose Globe University for the vet tech program because she has wanted to work with animals since a young age. With the support of her grandfather, she is working to reach her goals.
Business administration student Wade Holck is ready to experience the classroom environment after taking online classes for several quarters with another university. Wade said the support of his girlfriend has helped him strive towards this new goal of completing his degree.
Our staff and faculty are eager to begin the new quarter and get to know our new students!
