Nicholas was recommended for Student of the Quarter by his program chair, Angela Livingston.

“He always goes above and beyond when we are doing anything for DECA as well as within his courses.  He always helps out his fellow students in class and is an excellent student” she said.

Here is what Nicholas has to say about this honor:

“I am an avid outdoorsman. I love to fish and hunt, along with many other outdoor activities. I am married and live in Sioux Falls. I moved to Sioux Falls about three years ago after my wife and I built a house down here. I have attended Lake Area Tech in the past and received an associate’s degree in Civil Engineering/Drafting. Going back to school is something I have wanted to do for some time now. I finally decided what I want to do, and took the initiative.

I chose Globe University after visiting the campus a couple of times. The friendliness of the staff and the atmosphere of the campus are what drew my interest. The small class sizes helped me choose Globe and the business program. Also, the flexibility of taking classes at night or online was a big factor.

I am in the Business Management program going for finance. When I graduate, I hope to land a career somewhere in the financial advising field or in the financial department of a business.

My favorite memories of Globe so far would have to be the voluntary opportunities that I have participated in. These opportunities allow me to help out local organizations while meeting new people. One specific event that comes to mind is helping out at the Susan G. Komen event this past fall. A few of us from DECA volunteered to help with registration and hand out T-shirts. Donating time for a good cause and spending time with classmates outside of class are memories that I will carry with me for a lifetime.”

Congratulations again, Nicholas!
