$1,000 Scholarship Opportunity for Architectural Drafting & Design Students

Globe University-Woodbury partners with the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA) Minnesota Council to award a $500 scholarship to students in the architectural drafting and design program. Globe University will then match that amount, awarding a student a total of $1,000 in scholarships toward the fall 2013 quarter.SARA scholarship, drafting

Students interested in the scholarship will be judged by a representative from SARA in a design charette (a short design competition using AutoCAD) on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Globe University-Woodbury campus (please see event details below).

“This is a great opportunity for our students to not only get a chance to be awarded a $1,000 scholarship toward their education, but it also is a wonderful experience for them to illustrate their skills to a well-known organization in the architectural industry,” said Heather Scavo, architectural drafting and design program chair at Globe University-Woodbury. “Not to mention, scholarships and competitions such as these look great on a resume.”

SARA believes in a marvelous principle of “Architect Helping Architect”, it is set apart in that the Society of American Registered Architects is not self-serving and competitive but truly open in its membership and attitude.
