College students seek professional growth and personal enjoyment through collegiate club participation. Globe University supports several career oriented student clubs and is excited to introduce the newest student club at the Woodbury Campus – the American Institute of Building Designers!
Every student in the Architectural Drafting and Design program at Globe University is eligible to become a student member at large with the American Institute of Building Designers (AIBD). An anonymous donor has generously paid the membership fee for each student has. The first club goal is to choose a name with a strong poll voting for the Woodbury AIBD Drafties! Next week the chapter members will be selecting officers and completing the Student Chapter Bylaws.
The American Institute of Building Designers offers it’s members several benefits including professional credibility and a National Referral Service and Certifications Program. Educational programs and publications are also part of the membership.
Fall quarter club activities include philanthropic work with Habitat for Humanity and fall yard cleanup for the elderly. Social activities include an outdoor movie night viewing of Cary Grant’s Mr. Blanding Builds His Dream House and tours of many local architectural historical sites.
