Massage Students Work to Give an Arm and a Leg Back to their Campus

What is more wonderful than to see a student club not only take an active role on campus but also to give back to future students?  Well, that is exactly what the Massage Therapy Club at Globe University-Eau Claire campus is doing.

The club president, Jerad Polden, vice president Kara Bemis and secretary Jamie Edington are really giving back to their campus. This year under the direction of this presidency the club has been very active.  They have not only raised enough money to help send a group of massage and medical assisting students up to the Body Worlds exhibit, but they have raised enough money to order a model leg for the classroom.

With the help of their fellow students the money they have raised for this endeavor was kicked off with a great bake sale on campus. The majority of the funds were raised through weekly chair massages in the commons that raised money through donations while reducing the stress levels on campus!

This is a great accomplishment.  This group deserves a “hand” as they continue to raise funds to purchase a model arm and a joint model for campus use.

Way to go Massage Club! Kudos to Jerad, Kara, and Jamie for the great leadership they provide for the club. You have made Joan Hamilton, your program chair, very proud.  It is this kind of dedication that makes our students and programs great!
