Recently Mindy Myhre, Globe University’s Director of Community Outreach and Charitable Giving, was invited to take part in the annual Escape for Good weekend. The weekend consisted of informal discussions between famous athletes and individuals from charitable organizations to assess how they can make a difference and leave the world a better place. Many of the discussions focused on physical fitness/sport opportunities for children while others discussed education and leadership.
Individuals did have some time to play during the weekend. Celebrity chefs were on hand and individuals got a chance to play tennis with Agassi, bike with Lance or run with Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Not bad at all!
Everyone came away from the weekend feeling a sense of dedication and commitment to lead change. Stay tuned for how these meetings and discussions could affect Globe University.
