The past two blogs have addressed nutrition in schools and how it can influence the health, well-being, and behavior of students. This article discusses the correlation between physical activity during the school day and academic success. Research has demonstrated that students engaging in rigorous physical activity scored higher on national exams than their sedentary counterparts. So much for the notion of dumb jocks!
