Tunji Akanbi is the program chair for the information technology program at Globe University’s Woodbury Campus. He has been with the university since 2009. Prior to teaching at Globe, he taught as an adjunct instructor with ITT Technical Institute and has worked as a front-end developer in Los Angeles and locally here in the Twin Cities.
He possesses two undergraduate degrees in architecture from University of Jos, Nigeria (1996) and Media Arts, University of Louisiana, Lafayette (2005). He also graduated with a Master’s of Science in Management with an emphasis on information technology in 2012. Tunji is a Microsoft Office specialist and most recently he completed a certification in responsive mobile web development.
Tunji’s academic interests are primarily in web/software design and development, database design/implementation, client/server operating systems, and virtualization and networking concepts. He is fascinated by computers and anything electronic, science, mathematics and people of different cultures. He is an avid science fiction and comic book fan and enjoys creating digital art and electronic music in his spare time.
Tunji lives with his wife in the lovely town of Rosemount, Minnesota.
