Tonight a 5 year old girl suffering life threatening health conditions had her dreams come true thanks to the “Make A Wish Foundation”. Ari and her parents will be flying to Disney at the end of February thanks to this wonderful organization.
Marlee, Ari’s mother, is a full-time student in the Vet Tech Program at Globe University Green Bay. Despite the countless unexpected trips to local hospitals and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Marlee continues to maintain exceptional grades with her full course schedule. Marlee’s teachers and fellow students have called her “nothing short of amazing”. One student said “I don’t know how she can keep up with school, take care of Ari, and she’s always positive!” It is evident by the huge smile on Ari’s face that Marlee’s positive attitude and perseverance are contagious.
Make A Wish Foundation of Wisconsin grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their life-threatening medical conditions. For many of these “wish” children, their wish marks a turning point in their fight against their illness. Since their inception in 1984, the Wisconsin chapter has granted life affirming wishes for more than 4,200 children.
For the past year, Globe University Green Bay has
collected over $1000 in donations for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in honor of Ari Hunt. We continue to support our student, Marlee, and her daughter by fundraising for many of the organizations that have been of assistance to them.
