Kelly Van Der Wegen is a medical assistant student who attends Globe University Green Bay. She is highly involved in her education and serves as a great role model to staff and students alike. Kelly is a student ambassador and has a great sense of humor. This is her story on why she chose Globe University to earn her medical assistant degree.
What is your experience like at Globe University Green Bay?
My experience at Globe has been awesome. In my younger school days, education was just something I had to do. When I decided to go to college after been out of school for many years, Globe was definitely the college for me. The staff and faculty have been everything they said they would be. Globe really does care about the students, which makes going to school there a very positive experience.
What impact has college made on your life?
It has given me a sense of purpose, happiness, and knowledge. It has been such a positive experience in my life and has taught me that I can do anything I set my mind to do. In addition I get to start a whole new career in a field that I have always wanted to be in.
Is there a staff or faculty member that has made a difference for you?
All the staff and instructors make a difference, but for me, I would have to say that Veronica K, Michelle V., Suzanne R, and Dean C. have been instrumental in keeping me going and challenging me each and every class.
What makes Globe University Green Bay different from other schools?
The staff and faculty of Globe University Green Bay really does cares about its students. The open door policy is not just lip service, and they do everything they can to help you, regardless of what the issue may be, even if it is not school related.
