GU-GB bowls strikes for kids’ sake!

On Sunday, February 26, the Financial Aid team and part of Admissions (Lynn Ash, Dawn McDonald, Kristin Thyrion, Lisa Kingston, and Beth Francour) raised money and bowled for the annual Big Brother Big Sister Bowl for Kids’ Sake event.  Annually, the Big Brother Big Sister organization hosts the fundraiser for their organization to expand the opportunity of having a mentor to thousands of youth in the area.  Globe-Green Bay’s bowling team ” Globe Spare Changers” raised $445 towards Big Brothers Big Sisters, and even won the contest of “Best Dressed” at the beach themed event.  This year’s event was held at Riviera Lanes in Green Bay.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin helps youth with positive growth opportunities.  Of the youth involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters, 75% are more likely
to earn a 4-year degree (BBBS Website).  Globe University – Green Bay is happy to be involved and help out with an organization that does so much for our community.
