GU partners with foundation to bring drunk driving awareness statewide

Today, students and employees of GU Green Bay, along with community members, heard the heartfelt story of a family’s grief following the death of their son to a drunk driver.  Terri and Tom Goudy presented their story and sent the message that “we’re not against drinking, but making the choice to drink and drive affects lives in a ripple effect”, as it did following the fatal accident on June 19th, 2009.  This accident took the lives of Sam Goudy and two of his friends, Paige and Arielle.  The driver of the other vehicle, who was three times the legal limit, was also killed.  The Goudy family has taken this tragedy and made the lives of these teens live on through speaking out against drunk driving.  More information on this foundation, including a link to donate, can be found at www.plzgivethekeys.org.  The foundation survives on donations and sales of product with the plz give the keys logo.  Please help us keep this message moving nationwide by donating your time and money to spread the word that drinking and driving don’t mix.  The link below is one of the stories covered by media present at today’s presentation.
