Meet Your Student Ambassadors, Part II

We have some amazing student ambassadors this quarter, and we’d like you to get the opportunity to meet them. Not only are they student leaders, they help provide tutoring and get other students involved on campus.

Name: Casey Jo Riegert

ProgramVet Tech

What is your favorite thing about Globe University?

Globe University is my favorite place to be, because of the teachers. They know you by your first name and they get to know you has a person. The staff at Globe really care if you make it or not; they check in and see if you are having any problems and need help. I just loving going to Globe.

What is your favorite thing about your program?

The vet tech program is great. I love it. I can’t wait to get to school and learn new things about animals and what we have to do to take care of them.

Do you have any words of wisdom for new students?

My words of wisdom would be that you have to work hard to get what you want. It will not come easy but if you study hard and work hard you will make it to graduation.

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not at school?

My favorite thing to do outside of class is milking at my farm. I love being with the cows. When I get a chance, I ride my horses too.

What has been your favorite volunteer or applied learning project?

My first time being at the school and my class had to do a learning service project and I sign up for fundraising for the Bellevue dog park that was going to be built. It was fun to paint on kids faces and sell bake goods. I can’t wait to see the new dog park, when I find time to see it.

Laura, medical assisting

Name: Laura Ducat

Program: Medical Assisting

What is your favorite thing about Globe University?

My favorite thing about Globe University is that all the instructors are there to help you succeed. They are there to help you learn the material and better understand what it will be like when working out in the field.

What is your favorite thing about your program?

My favorite thing about my program are the all the instructors actually work in the field and have experience being a medical assistant.

Do you have any words of wisdom for new students?

Some words of wisdom to the students are to put forth 100 percent effort. No one is going to hold your hand and make you do the assignments, you have to want to be at school and apply yourself. Make time to study and do the work—it will pay off in the long run.

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not at school?

When I’m not at school I spend my time with my two children. We like to play outside and i enjoy teaching them new things.

What has been your favorite volunteer or applied learning project?

My favorite volunteer or applied learning project was probably helping out at the blood drive. I haven’t done many yet, but will be doing more in the future with more classes.
