Students put networking skills to the test at Chamber event

On Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 GU-Green Bay hosted the Green Bay Chamber “Business After Hours” networking event.  Students from several different programs assisted in the successful execution of this event, all making new connections from our community.  We had over 70 people attend.

Marilyn Heim from the Chamber said “Thank you so much for hosting the March Business After Hours.  It was a great event.  We sincerely appreciate your support of our events and programs.”

A student in our Paralegal program, Tina Panske, said: “I found this event to be very helpful and worthwhile.  I was able to speak to many different people and gain knowledge in several different fields.  Overall the event was enjoyable and the attendees were surprised to see the different programs offered by Globe, such as Medical Assisting and Massage Therapy.  Mayor Jim Schmitt attended and said he was very impressed with the technology and different opportunities Globe offers to its students.”

Students from an Introduction to Business class assisted with this event and found it to be very impressive and helpful.  Two of these students were offered job opportunities and many made connections with whom they said they will follow up.
