“Having a strong first impression is crucial for a successful interview,” explains Sarah Thompson, Director of Career Services at Globe University-La Crosse. “Because a job seeker’s first impression has so much impact on their chances of getting a job offer, we wanted to create a fun event to demonstrate what a strong first impression looks like.”
Globe University-La Crosse will host two Interview Attire Fashion Shows on Tuesday, November 29 from 11:00am-12:00pm and again from 5:00pm-6:00pm. Community members and students will learn the dos and don’ts of interview attire in a fun and interactive fashion show. Globe faculty and staff will participate as models dressed in great examples of professional interview attire, and not-so-great examples.
“The Interview Fashion Shows are wonderful opportunities for Globe University to demonstrate our “We Care” mission to the community. Globe cares about our students, staff, and the Coulee Region,” Thompson said. “With this event, we’re able to provide job seekers with information that could potentially make their job search more successful.”
Community members are invited to attend the Fashion Shows at no cost. They will be held in the Globe University-La Crosse commons area located at 2651 Midwest Drive in Onalaska, Wisconsin.
