La Crosse Emergency Services Day, a Huge Success!

A burning house, helicopters, and soaked police officers could all be seen at Globe University-La Crosse’s 2nd Annual Emergency Services Day put on by the Criminal Justice club! Police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and several other emergency vehicles and boats filled the parking lot. Kids and families helped put out fires, dunk police officers and Globe staff in the dunk tank, escaped burning homes, watched the MedLink Air helicopter land,  and registered for ID badges and safety information.

Several organizations, including the Salvation Army, Red Cross, Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and many others had booths and activities. You could even take a turn at the AAA texting and driving simulator! In addition, proceeds from food sales, massages, and the dunk tank all supported the Ronald McDonald House Charities!

The Globe University-La Crosse Criminal Justice Club put on an amazing event! We’re all proud and impressed with how amazing everything turned out! Way to go! News channel 19 even visited! Check out the coverage:
