The Children’s Museum of La Crosse celebrated its 13th birthday on Saturday, February 25! Globe Medical Assistant students Denae, Paula, and Tanya, along with Stephanie Schultz, Medical Assistant Instructor, and Brady Lowe, Communications and Community Relations Specialist, all volunteered on Saturday to help make the Children’s Museum’s birthday a success!

Globe volunteers welcomed families to the museum with gifts and books and they also served birthday cake and refreshments to celebrate! A couple of the volunteers were even lucky enough to don Wizard of Oz costumes to entertain the children. It was a terrific day of volunteering with the museum!

At the birthday celebration, Health Care Professionals Club (HCPC) members Denae, Tanya, and Paula presented a check for $150 to the Children’s Museum. The HCPC club selected the museum as the recipients of their quarterly fundraiser. Every quarter, the HCPC members fundraise for community organizations. In the past, club members donated to the Coulee Region Humane Society Pet Therapy fund, Onalaska Community Thanksgiving, Boys and Girls Club, and more! The HCPC members are terrific fundraisers and very happy to be active parts of the community.

In addition to their birthday celebration, Globe University-La Crosse has volunteered with the Children’s Museum for multiple events including their Teddy Bear Clinics and their Kohl’s Cares Safety Days with Gundersen Lutheran Healthcare. Globe students and staff look forward to supporting them in the future!
