36 Madison Students Set to Take on the World

College Graduation, Globe University-Madison, Graduation

Graduates from last quarter’s graduation stand in recognition.

There is more to celebrate this December than Christmas, Hannukah and Kwanzaa. Globe University-Madison East and Madison West will graduate 36 students on Friday, Dec. 21 at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.

This will be Globe-Madison East and Globe-Madison West’s eighth joint graduation and 14th graduation overall since opening their campuses in January 2010 and July 2009, respectively.

This year Globe University-Madison welcomes Van Nutt who is the Executive Director of the Middleton Chamber of Commerce.  Prior to starting ImprovAbility, a company that provided team building and communication training sessions to businesses throughout the Midwest, in 1998, Van had served as general manager of Paragon Business Furniture Group, controller for Moseley’s, and controller for Chalet Ski & Patio and in various other retail capacities with Chalet throughout the Midwest.

Serving as graduate speakers are Catherine Dedie from Globe-Madison East, who is graduating with her medical assistant associate degree, and Mary Ryan from Globe-Madison West, who is graduating with her medical assistant diploma.

Massage Therapy

Kathleen Laib, massage therapy program graduate

A few graduates reflected on their experience at Globe University-Madison West.

“It was a wonderful school,” said Kathleen Laib, graduate in the massage therapy program. “The very small classes made me feel like I was part of a family. We all became very close and the hands-on experience was great.”

Scott Miller, graduate in the business administration program, said, “My experience with Globe University has exceeded all of my expectations. I’ve had so much fun working with all of the staff and faculty at Globe University. The mission statement at Globe is one that they live by each and every day–they care. I want to thank all the Globe staff and faculty for making this such a positive experience for me.”
