Six years and three campuses later, Krista Hebel Zimonick still enjoys working for Globe University.
“All of the staff and faculty at Globe are passionate about helping students succeed and get jobs in their chosen career field,” said Dean of Students Krista Hebel
Zimonick. “It’s very energizing to work with people who care so much about what they do. I also believe strongly in Globe’s ‘We Care’ mission and its emphasis on preparing students to find jobs after graduation.”
Krista started working at the Globe University-Eau Claire campus as an academic coordinator and adjunct instructor in June 2008. She moved to the Madison West campus in 2009 and become the associate dean of students. While working full time at the Madison West campus, Krista earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration at Globe University, graduating in September 2011. She was looking for a leadership position to utilize her newfound skills and was excited when she took over as the dean of students at the Madison East campus in 2012.
“I wanted to be a dean of students because I enjoy challenges, a wide variety of tasks, a rapid-paced work environment, and working closely with students. I like advising, guiding and helping students troubleshoot their problems as they make their way through their programs.”
Krista was recently named the Staff Member of the Quarter at the Madison East campus. This is an award that is voted on by campus staff.
“Krista is an extremely hard worker and shows an exemplary amount of dedication to supporting students at Globe University-Madison East,” said Campus Director Rocky Klitzke. “She has a very positive attitude and is a great role model for the academic department and the student body.”
