Globe University-Madison East has a new smiling face around campus. Ashley Tanner recently took over as the associate campus director. However, Ashley is not new to Globe University or the higher education industry. Ashley has over a decade of experience in higher education and most recently worked at the Globe University-Madison West campus as the director of admissions and before that as the director of career services.
Before joining Globe in 2014, Ashley served as the campus administrator and admissions director at the Vici Aveda Institute. Ashley’s experience ranges from education management to students recruitment, to career and job assistance.
Ashley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Adult Education and Business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It was there that she developed her passion for working with adult learners.
“I enjoy helping people work towards their dream career,” Ashley said.
However, a career in higher education wasn’t always Ashley’s dream job. When Ashley was a child, she dreamed of being a veterinarian and helping animals in need. She is now lucky enough to learn a little about the veterinary field through the faculty and students in the veterinary technology program on campus.
When Ashley isn’t at Globe, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mitch, and son, Wesley. She enjoys boating on Lake Wisconsin, hiking, and spending time outside with their yellow lab, Cash.
“The Madison East campus has already been such a welcoming place my first few weeks,” Ashley said. “I look forward to getting to know everyone better and working together to continue all of the amazing work we do of helping our students achieve their educational and professional goals.”
