Student of the Month: Barb Reilly

Student Ambassador. GU-MAC President. Student Tutor. MA Program Effectiveness Plan Team Member.  These are all words describing March’s student of the month – medical assistant student Barb Reilly!

When the company Barb had been working for closed it’s doors, she knew she was ready for a change and she knew that change involved the health care field. Barb had always been interested with health care and when she visited Globe and heard about the Medical Assistant program she knew it was the right fit.  She enrolled and began her journey at Globe on July 19, 2010.

Next quarter Barb will be on her externship with Dean Clinic in Oregon.  She is excited to get in the field and utilize the skills she has learned, but says she will miss all of the smiling faces on campus.  Barb said, “Everybody at Globe cares, all of the staff and faculty that I’ve come in contact with here want you to succeed.”

Medical Assistant Program Chair Elisha Terre nominated Barb and had this to say about her, “Not only does Barb excel in her studies, she always goes above and beyond both inside and out of the classroom.  She is always there to lend another student help or words of encouragement.  As club president she totally goes above and beyond making sure all our events run, and run well.  I can leave things in Barb’s hands, with confidence they will be taken care of in a timely and professional manner.  She is always willing to go the extra mile.”

Globe University – Madison East staff and faculty are proud to recognize Barb Reilly as this month’s Student of the Month.  As Student of the Month, Barb received a certificate, special parking spot for March, and $15 gift certificate to the school store.
