Student of the Month: Lyndsy Allen

At Globe we see a lot of students with passion and drive, but vet tech student Lyndsy Allen takes that passion and drive one step further.  She takes the time to help her fellow students with homework and this quarter alone, has taken on multiple extra animal care duty shifts to help out.

Lyndsy has always had a love for animals.  She even takes a yearly trip to Kanab, Utah to volunteer at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary cleaning kennels, walking dogs, and socializing with the animals.  “It’s the most rewarding vacation ever,” Lyndsy said.

When Lyndsy isn’t doing her school work, she works as a student assistant at Globe for Medical Assistant Program Chair Lisha Terre.  Outside of Globe, she enjoys watching movies and spending time with her 10 year-old cat Sweet Pea.

Lyndsy is the first student of the month to be nominated by two faculty members.  Resident Veterinarian Megan Jordan and Vet Tech Instructor Heather Steele both nominated Lyndsy for her willingness to help other students and go the extra mile. They describe Lyndsy as a very caring person who is dedicated to both the vet tech program and the animals.

Globe University – Madison East staff and faculty are proud to recognize Lyndsy as this month’s Student of the Month.  As Student of the Month, Lyndsy received a certificate, special parking spot for May, and $15 gift certificate to the school store.
