On Thursday, August 16th 2012, Globe University-Madison West honored our new campus flag and flag pole with a dedication ceremony.

Members of the Madison Army Recruiting Company’s Color Guard conducted the ceremony as students, faculty, staff and guests watched.

Campus Director Brock Vander Velden kicked off the dedication with a brief statement. “I would like to welcome everyone today to our flag dedication ceremony. I would first like to thank our flag dedication detail, the Madison Army Recruiting Company’s Color Guard who will be raising our flag this afternoon. This flag pole is an exciting addition to our campus. The American Flag is a true symbol of our freedom, independence, and sacrifice by those who have defended that freedom. Today we thank all veterans and all of our student veterans for their service. We hope that the flag at this campus is a great reminder of our country, our military students, and all of those that have faithfully serviced our country. Globe University is committed to serving those that have served our country. Let’s give a round of applause for these students and all of our current and past military students and staff.”
