Globe University-Madison West welcomes another friendly face in the financial aid department, Julie Pruess. Julie is serving as our new financial aid administrator. She is splitting her time between the two Globe University campuses in Madison. She will be available on Mondays and Tuesdays at the Madison West campus and will spend Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Madison East campus. Friday’s location will depend on the needs of either campus. Julie is here for students to help them process their FAFSA, help with loan set ups and meet with students on any concerns regarding financing their education.
Fun facts about Julie:
- She calls Madison home. It’s where she was born and raised after all! Julie currently lives with two roommates and is enjoying Madison and what it has to offer for a single, young professional.
- She is a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater graduate! Julie earned her bachelor’s in business administration as well as her Bachelor of Arts in Geography. She was involved with the American Marketing Association, which is where she met Molly Siegel, Madison West’s college admissions representative. “Molly is who introduced me to Globe University,” Julie shared.
- She loves the outdoors! “I enjoy anything outdoors. Hiking, being on the lake, spending time with friends and family. Though, I’m not big on outdoor winter sports.”
- What she likes most about Globe University: student interaction. At her previous job working in the admissions department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, her position was more focused on paper work and less with working directly with students. Julie is excited to be working with students. “I really like how hands-on Globe is in working with students. Getting involved with students to help them with their educational journey is something I look forward to the most. It’s what I liked about Globe University. I look forward to getting to know everyone here on campus.”
Be sure to welcome Julie next time you see her.
