Globe University on Track to Break Guinness Book Record

Sioux Falls, SD – The Globe University massage therapy department is joining Sioux Falls and greater South Dakota massage therapists to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for the most massages given at once. The event is May 7 in conjunction with the Avera Race Against Breast Cancer at the Avera McKennan Fitness Center in Sioux Falls. Massages begin at 9:30 a.m.

The current record is 268 massages; Globe University hopes to give more than 300. The campus’s massage therapy students and faculty plus massage students from other Globe University and Minnesota School of Business campuses in Minnesota and Wisconsin will participate. Event coordinators also seek participation from Globe University massage therapy graduates and practicing massage therapists throughout South Dakota.

“Please join us for this HUGE event.   It will be fun and exciting, not only for the massage therapy field but also to save lives of others.”

Globe University hopes the event generates awareness and appreciation of the massage therapy field, as well as provides a fun opportunity for the Sioux Falls community and greater South Dakota.
