Minnesota School of Business Massage Instructor Donates Chair Massage

On March 21st, 2009 the Buffalo Hospital hosted their first annual Mammo Party. Massage Instructor Celina McKenzie performed both foot reflexology along with chair massages for all the ladies that attended the event. She was there along with many others; helping the ladies calm their fears of receiving what for many was their first mammogram. The ladies were put into a drawing and many had won handmade soaps, lotions, and other fun bath goodies. Celina was asked to come back as well as invited to a few other events coming up this year including a ladies retreat weekend and the Hutchinson Garlic Festival.

Celina said “This was a special event for me to donate my time and energy to, as I have a handful of cancer clients already and know what their challenges are. I believe that every day we get closer to closing the gap between healing and curing all forms of cancer. My mother-in-law was performing all twenty-five mammograms and she said that many of the women that came in, were either laid off and had no insurance or were simply not able to afford the exam otherwise.celina-mckenzie-performing-chair-massage Cancer is a battle that many face and it was a great way to spend the afternoon.”
