Globe University-Woodbury campus welcomes a new dean of students, Kelley Aliffi.
“As your dean of students, it is a great privilege to assist you throughout your journey with Globe University,” said Aliffi. “This is an exciting and sometimes challenging time of growth and new opportunity for you.”
Along with Kelley’s positive attitude and smile, she brings with her a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology along with social work minor from Georgia State University, a Certified Clinical Massage Therapist/Neuromuscular degree from Atlanta School of Massage, topped off with a master’s in marriage and family therapy from Argosy University.
Kelley worked at chiropractic offices where she provided clinical massage therapy to patients for eight years before she accepted the position as the massage therapy program Chair at the Globe University-Woodbury campus. Before becoming the dean of students at the Woodbury campus, Aliffi was ready for a new challenge where she traveled to National American University to become the regional therapeutic massage program chair. She soon realized Globe was where her heart was, so she returned to the Woodbury campus to teach massage therapy and soon became our new dean of students.
We will be hosting a meet-and-greet with Kelley next Tuesday, August 27 from 12-1 p.m. and 3-4 p.m in the Student Commons. Stop by to enjoy some refreshments and get to know more about your new dean of students.
“It is my goal as dean of students to help you from the time you enter our doors, until you walk across the graduation stage with your degree in hand,” said Aliffi.
The dean of students role on campus is crucial for our students’ academic success. The responsibility of the dean of students is to maintain academic standards to meet accreditation and licensing guidelines along with building and maintaining a sense of community for our students.
We are excited to introduce Kelley as our new dean of students and hope to see you tomorrow to welcome her!
