Past Globe University graduates prepare to receive their diplomas.

For 13 Globe University-Appleton graduates, the feeling of accomplishment and success couldn’t come at a better time than now. On January 3, 2013, these graduates will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas–something that they’ve been looking forward to since the day they began at Globe University.

Graduation will take place at The Marq in De Pere, Wis. A joint graduation ceremony will take place with the Globe University-Green Bay campus. Students Sally Wouters (Appleton) and Tina Panske (Green Bay) will speak to students about their time at Globe.

Medical assistant program graduate Sally Wouters is excited to share her experiences at Globe and hopes to take what she has learned and continue to be successful as she begins a new career.

“I chose Globe University for the hands-on approach that they have with all of the classes,” Wouters said.  “It helped me to learn and remember better, and for this I would recommend the school to all those who learn by doing.”

David Metzen, Globe University provost, will lead the keynote speech at the commencement. In 2008, Minnesota Governor Pawlenty appointed him director of higher education for the state of Minnesota. Metzen joined Globe University as Provost in December 2010 and  provides academic leadership and success to the organization.

The night will be a memorable one for over 30 graduates receiving their diplomas from Globe University-Appleton, Globe University-Green Bay, and the Globe University Online division. Staff, faculty, friends and family will be in attendance to watch such a momentous occasion, for these students have worked so hard to achieve their dreams!

Wouters will be happy to know that she has fans in the audience–she’s attributed some of her success to them. “Thank you Sharon Fesko and Melissa Chakar for always being there for all my needs–no matter what the problem,” Wouters said. “And Kim, for pushing me and being my ‘Dirty Girl Run’ partner, and Kara for making me strive and pushing me to better myself in every area possible. Because of you I will succeed!”
