And The Award Goes To…

Anton Buelt and Ico Ahyicodae!

It’s the end of the year and time to recognize those who made a difference in 2012.  Globe University-Minneapolis gave out two prominent awards last week.

The first award was the staff-of-the-year award, which was awarded to Anton Buelt who is one of the rock star admission representatives for the Minneapolis campus. His proper title is “Associate Director of Admissions,” but I think most would just call him a rock star!

Anyone who works with Anton, or any student who has ever interacted with him, is sure to tell you that his energy and talent are superb – it’s very fitting for him to receive this award.  Alex Thomas, International Admissions, said, “Anton worked his way up through Globe University and shines at what he does!”

The next award went to Ico Ahyicodae for the faculty-of-the-year!  Ico teaches composition classes and also leads the Resource Center, which helps students with their writing and papers for class.  Ico is always sacrificing for her students.  She raises the bar of excellence as a professor.

Sarah Roers, Campus Librarian, describes Ico as, “One of the best when it comes to teaching students.”  Ico also leads the Creative Quill at Globe University, which is a publication for students to publish their writing.

Both awards were voted on by the campus chairs and presented to the recipients by Jim Decker, campus director.  The awards are the highest honor for our campus and highlight the best talent!

Congrats Anton and Ico!
