The weather feels like summer, but one of our students at Globe University in Minneapolis is changing her look for fall!
Nancy Charlton, majoring in hospitality management, recently partnered with local television show, Twin Cities Live, for Fall Makeovers. Nancy’s new look was revealed at the Minnesota State Fair.
During the makeover, the cosmetology students took five inches of length off her hair to give Nancy a more modern style. Her straight-across bob along with blunt bangs softened her face shape and helped heightened her cheekbones. They went natural and soft with more gold and brown tones for her makeup—subtle, yet professional.
When Nancy walked onto campus everyone noticed the dramatic difference! Here is what Nancy had to say:
“The Twin Cities Live makeover event was a really great time. Our campus director had approached me about participating in this event and I was very excited to be selected as one of the models for the show. The concept of this event was receiving a new business makeover for our students in pursuit of their dream careers. The cosmetology team gave me a more modern and trendy look that coincided with my career field in hospitality management. When in pursuit of a career, one of the things we oftentimes forget is how to properly present ourselves. Education, skills and personality are certainly very important, but it never hurts to have a little incentive in the form of style to set us apart from the rest.”
I think she sums it up really well—our looks do matter and help us have the confidence to achieve our dreams.
If you are interested in a fall makeover, visit the Minnesota School of Cosmetology in Woodbury or Plymouth and mention Twin Cities Live and get half-off either a spa manicure or spa pedicure.
