MSB Partners With Moorhead Legion Baseball To Thank Military

The 2012 Moorhead Legion baseball team sports special camouflaged jersey's on 'Military Night'.

Minnesota School of Business-Moorhead strongly supports area veterans and current military service men and women. As a sign of that support, the campus was proud to be the game sponsor for the Moorhead Legion baseball ‘Military Night’ at Matson Field.

The Blues hosted cross-town rival Fargo Post #2 in a special nine-inning game. It was also the last home game for Moorhead where seniors were honored.

The camouflaged jersey's featured the Minnesota School of Business logo on the sleeves.

The evening featured special military jerseys worn by the team and free admission for all military personnel. Communications and community relations specialist Brian Shawn and Director of Financial Aid Lisa Roesch were presented with an autographed team ball at home plate before the game started and was recognized for its support.

“We really want to thank Minnesota School of Business for its support of our program,” said head coach Jeff Miller. “It certainly means a great deal to us.”

Miller said he also plans to frame a jersey and present it to the campus at the next all-school meeting as well.

“Supporting our local legions and legion baseball programs is a big deal,” Roesch said. “We recognize that these programs are not cheap to operate yet they provide opportunities for young people in our community.”

The campus plans to sponsor a similar event next summer.
