6 CRITICAL Items to Check-Off Your List Before Class Starts Monday

critical item checklist1. Reach out to your Financial Aid Advisor

Each student in our school has an assigned financial aid advisor that works with students 1-on-1 to make sure important financial aid items have been taken care of.  If you are unsure of who your assigned financial aid advisor is, simply call the front desk at (612)436-7575 and we’d be happy to look-up that information for you. The advisor list is also located under the “My Account” tab in CampusConnect.

2. Check-Out Your Upcoming Classes

The classes you’ll start on Monday are not loaded into CampusConnect yet, however you can see what you’ve registered for under the “My Account” tab. Next, click the “Academics” tab on the left-hand side and you’ll be able to see your upcoming class schedule!

3. Make Sure You’ve Completed Orientation

CampusConnect can seem a bit overwhelming for a first time user, which is why we’ve created an orientation that helps students navigate and communicate more efficiently through it. If this is your first quarter as a student, orientation is mandatory. Therefore, it’s important to have it completed prior to starting classes on Monday. To access the orientation, log into CampusConnect “Home” tab and on the right hand side you should see some links for the sessions. If you do not see the links, please contact us immediately so we can load it in for you.

4. Check the Status of Your Student Account

A lot of hang-ups with students being unable to log in on Monday begin with the status of your student account. To make sure you haven’t been blocked from logging into your classes please take a moment to review the status of your account by clicking on the “My Account” tab in CampusConnect. If you have questions or need to make a payment, feel free to call us at (612)436-7575 or payments can also be made online using the “Make Payment Online” link under the “My Account” tab on the left-hand side of the page.

5. Check Your Student Email

Regularly checking your student email can help avoid a lot of stress prior to the start date. Carefully comb through your student email paying special attention to emails from any of your advisors or even instructors who may be reaching out to students before class begins. If you find yourself forgetting to check your student email account regularly, simply set up a “rule” that will automatically forward any student emails on to your personal account!

6. Check-In With Your Career Services Advisor

Much like our academic and financial aid advisors, each of our students has a designated career service advisor who is here to work with students 1-on-1. Career services are a great resource for students who may be looking for employment, internships, and even volunteer opportunities throughout the quarter! You can find out who your career service advisor is by clicking the “My Account” tab in CampusConnect. Each of your assigned advisors will be listed on the right-hand side. Or give us a call directly at (612)436-7575.

Good luck and see you all in Early Fall Quarter!
