Celebrate your Freedom to Read

Catcher in the Rye . . . Of Mice and Men . . . Harry Potter . . .

What’s your favorite book? Chances are good that someone has tried to ban it. Celebrate YOUR freedom to read during Banned Books Week, September 30th to October 6th.

Banned Books Week spreads awareness of the problem of censorship, and celebrates the freedom to read. Censorship denies our freedom as individuals to choose and think for ourselves. In support of the right to choose books freely for ourselves, the Globe Education Network Library supports this annual celebration of our right to access books without censorship.
