Online Staff Volunteers at Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery

Frog Face Snacks

On August 29th, four staffers from the Globe Education Network’s online division visited the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery located in Golden Valley, MN. The crisis nursery works to end child neglect and abuse by providing free services for families in need or crisis.  Some of the free services they offer are:

  • 24-hour Crisis Helpline
  • Crisis Counseling
  • Overnight Residential Child Care
  • 4th Day Home Visiting Program
  • Pediatric Assessment & Medical Management
  • Parent Education and Parent Support Group
  • Community Roundtable

The online staffers volunteered to prepare and eat a mid-morning snack with the kids currently staying at the crisis nursery. The girls put together a creative snack they called “Frog Faces” (pictured above) and the kids had a blast! Globe Education Network is always looking for ways to give back to community and this was an amazing opportunity to eat some yummy treats and put a smile on children’s faces.
