Questions? Ask a Librarian via IM or chat!

If you’ve got research or citation questions, you can get them answered right away by asking a librarian via instant message (IM) or chat. There are a couple ways you can do this.

First of all, if you’ve downloaded Pronto in Blackboard (you can find it in the “tools” section), you can search for username esettergren to IM Elaine Settergren – the Online Librarian. Here’s how you search for her:

1. In Pronto, select the “actions” menu.

2. Select “add contact…”

3. Search for esettergren.

Secondly, you can chat with a librarian by using the “Chat with a Librarian” button at the Online Library. The image here shows what that button looks like. If the button says “Send a message,” it’s because we’re unavailable. You can still click the button to send a message.
