This week marks the annual National Teacher Appreciation week. So, in the spirit of the holiday, we’d like to recognize our very own Globe University-Online Dream Team that provides support to all of the faculty members and teachers of the Online division.
Recently, the Online division HR manager, Pamela Miller, had a chance to sit down and chat with one of the Online Deans of Faculty. What Pamela didn’t realize at the time, was that she had discovered a gold mine of talent.
The “Dean Team” is comprised of three people who help guide and foster the excellence that our instructors display in their Online classrooms every day. The Dean Team also helps oversee the programs and curriculum presented in our classrooms. So let’s meet the starting line up!
Dean of Faculty-Kristen O’Connell, Ed.D.
Kristen is the coach, manager and overall facilitator for the team. She’s been with the Online division since 2006 and boasts a laundry list of important academic and operational functions. A few of those functions are: hiring, firing and evaluation of Online instructors, ensuring proper higher education course rigor, and safeguarding the academic integrity of our students and faculty.
Associate Dean of Faculty- Warren Eck
Warren is like the team captain for the Dean Team. Warren has proven to be an extremely effective leader that has navigated the team through successful audits. As a manager, Warren has received numerous emails thanking him for his ability to “coach up” and also his candor during performance reviews and when dealing with instructor issues.
Associate Dean of Faculty- Jessica Blaisdell
Jessica is the newest addition to the Dean Team; however she’s managed to showcase her student-centered philosophy in support of academic excellence across the board. Jessica works tirelessly to assist Kristen and the instructors by aiding in the development of professional standards and conduct of the Online faculty.
Please join us in recognizing all of the awesome teamwork and the commitment to excellence the Deans of Faculty have displayed over the years. Their work has not gone unnoticed and has undoubtedly helped make Globe University a great place to work for instructors, and an even better place for students to learn.
