Thank you to Joseph Bazan, Legal Program Chair at the Elk River and St. Cloud campuses of Minnesota School of Business, for supplying us with some Monday legal humor. Here are two examples of real judicial rulings where the judges were not too happy that the lawyers could not settle their own arguments.
In the first example, Judge Pendleton Gaines made lunch arrangements for two attorneys so they can talk about discovery matters.
Read here about the judge’s ruling on the lunch motion.
Judge Sam Sparks thought the attorneys in this case were acting like kindergartners so he invited them to a kindergarten party where they would learn how to communicate with each other and have advance training on how not to waste the time of a busy federal judge and his staff.
