If you aren’t “LinkedIn” yet to the paralegal groups yet, you are missing
out on some great discussions. Linda McGrath-Cruz, ACP FRP from Florida asked on the Paralegal Network group, “If you work as a paralegal or legal assistant somewhere that is NOT a law firm, what kind of business is it?”
Forty-five paralegal s responded to the question. Almost half the respondents worked for legal departments in manufacturing, health care and technology companies. The next biggest group was those working in the government sector including state and local offices. The rest worked in financial institutions and real estate companies.
These paralegals are using the same paralegal skills as their law firm counterparts and report that they love the atmosphere of the non-traditional jobs.
