For-Profit Schools Globe University and Minnesota School of Business Recognized by Minnesota Twins in Pre-Game Ceremony for Service to Veterans

Globe University and the Minnesota School of Business were recognized September 10 for its ongoing service to veterans in a pregame ceremony at Target Field. All season long the Twins have recognized organizations that exemplify the spirit of the “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” program. The Minnesota National Guard initiative connects all Minnesota Service Members and their families with community support, services and resources.

The Twins chose to call out Globe University and Minnesota School of Business because of its dedicated staff of U.S. Army veterans who help military-affiliated students select a college program that will help them achieve their academic, personal and professional goals.

Other companies recognized by the Twins have included, Target, United Health Group, U.S. Bank and Best Buy.

As is customary, company representatives were invited to stand at home plate. Mike Hughes, director of military student services, and Mike Blumberg, military liaison—both retired Army First Sergeants—stood with Human Resource Generalist Pamela Miller, an Iraq veteran who deployed with the Minnesota Red Bulls.

Together, Globe and MSB serve more than 1,600 military students!
