Globe University – La Crosse to Host High School Career Day

Onalaska, Wisconsin (Feb. 25, 2016) – Choosing a career path can be daunting. To help give high school juniors and seniors a better understanding of some of the options available to them, Globe University will be hosting an interactive High School Career Day at its La Crosse campus from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2016.  Students are invited to come explore careers in massage therapy, veterinary technology, medical assisting, business, and criminal justice; many which are growing at a much faster than average rate according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Industry professionals will be on hand to show students how to:

·         Perform criminal profiling.

·         Perform blood pressures, urinalysis, and hearing/vision testing.

·         Identify animal parasites and blood cells.

·         Handle/care for pocket pets.

·         Perform massage techniques and identify skeletal muscles and bones.

·         Pitch a business idea to local restaurant investors just like in the popular TV Show, “Shark Tank”.

Lunch will be provided to students and chaperones. Free transportation is available to qualifying schools with 30 or more students.
