Globe University Partners with YMCA to Support Cancer Survivors

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Oct. 21, 2014) – In honor of massage therapy awareness week, Globe University students will offer chair massages to the community at the YMCA on Thursday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donations will be gifted to the YMCA Livestrong program, a small group program designed to support adult cancer survivors during the transitional period between completing their cancer treatment and the shift to feeling physically and emotionally strong enough to attempt to return to their normal life. Students will also provide demonstrations and information on how massage can help with conditions such as: fibromyalgia, heart disease, depression/anxiety, high blood pressure, lymphedema, cancer, auto immune diseases and more.
