Globe University to Provide Massage Therapy to Local Police and Fire Heroes

MOORHEAD, Minn. (May 22, 2014) – Students from the Globe University-Moorhead massage therapy program will be hosting an event called “Massage for a Hero” on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Local firefighters and police officers are invited to receive free personal massages from massage therapy students. Not only will students have the opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience, but there is a need for this service in the community. As one police officer stated, “Our belts and gear alone weigh so much it is very hard on our bodies. I have to get a massage at least monthly.” The media is welcome to attend.
